Missy went on to win her second WSOP Circuit ring, shipping Event #5 at Grand Victoria Casino in Elgin, IL — a $600 buy-in NLH tournament — for $16,055 and the hardware to match.
The most impressive part?
This wasn’t just about cards or run-good. It was about resilience, intuition, and showing up — even when logic (and coins) said otherwise.
In Missy’s own words, she had to flip a coin just to decide if she was even going to play that day. That internal conflict is something every tournament player knows well:
- “Should I play today?”
- “Am I mentally locked in?”
- “Is this the right spot for me?”
She could have skipped it.
She could have stayed home.
But instead — she showed up, locked in, and crushed it.
